What do you do at Flaharty Asset Management?
I make sure every client’s experience with us is warm, welcoming, and seamless—from the moment they walk in the door to the moment they leave.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
I love creating an atmosphere where clients feel at home and cared for. A personal touch makes all the difference!

Do you have a favorite quote or mantra you live by?
"Work hard and be nice." I truly believe that if you do these two things consistently in all aspects of your life, there is nothing you cannot achieve. There’s also peace and self-satisfaction in knowing you put forth your best effort while being kind to others along the way.

What’s a quirky habit you have that makes people laugh?
I tend to nickname people—not in the mean way you may have earned a nickname in middle school, but in a completely nonsensical way that probably only makes sense to me and the person I have cleverly renamed! It’s definitely an “if you know, you know” situation, and all in good fun. If you have a nickname from me, rest assured—I think the world of you! (And a lucky few even have more than one!)

If you could solve one global problem, what would it be?
Food insecurity. How can we expect anyone to function—let alone reach their greatest potential—if they lack access to safe, nutritious food? Eliminating food insecurity would increase the productivity of every human being, both physically and mentally, and with that, imagine what could be achieved for the greater good!

If you could be any fictional character for a day, who would it be?
Chief Inspector Armand Gamache from Louise Penny’s Three Pines mystery series. He approaches problems thoughtfully, is fair but not naïve, puts family and friends first, and is one of the cleverest characters in literature.

Do you have a favorite holiday tradition?
Playing Bingo after Thanksgiving dinner with my extended family! That one evening is filled with more laughter and excitement than any other family event. Maybe it’s the amazing prizes (always scratch-off tickets from the local gas station), or the fact that no one has their phones (including my three sons AND my sister’s three sons), or perhaps it’s simply that we are all in one place, doing the same thing at the same time. Either way, it’s the holiday tradition I look forward to the most!
