CLEARWATER, Fla. – Flaharty Asset Management, a Florida-based wealth management firm serving clients throughout the U.S., announced the promotion of Steven Guess, a retired Air Force non-commissioned officer and nuclear specialist to operations executive, where he will serve clients and advisors by providing administrative support.
Guess joined the team at Flaharty Asset Management when his previous company, AWA Investment Advisors, merged into Flaharty Asset Management late last year.
“We’re excited to announce Steven’s promotion and are grateful for all that he brings to our team,” said Shon Flaharty, founder, CEO and managing partner of Flaharty Asset Management. “He embodies the core values of the Air Force, which include integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do, which I think is safe to say that those core values are the underpinnings of a high quality team mate.”
Prior to his work in the financial sector, Guess served in the Air Force for 20 years, where he retired as a non-commissioned officer in 2016. While serving in the Air Force, he had the privilege of working in three different career fields and being recognized as a distinguished honor graduate from his training schools. His last post was as unit education and training manager overseeing training operations for five squadrons at Tyndale Air Base near Panama City, Florida. His duties included operations officer, positional and academic instructor, education and training administrator.
“I look forward to continuing to contribute to the team at Flaharty Asset Management, as we pursue continued growth for our advisors and our clients’ portfolios nationwide,” said Guess.
