Flaharty Asset Management Holiday Party

Flaharty Asset Management hosted their annual Holiday Party at the Belleair Country Club. We love the relationships we have with our clients and this event was all for them! Our team had the opportunity to enjoy great company, share some laughs, and celebrate an amazing group of people. We would like to thank everyone that attended this year and encourage everyone to come out next year.

Tampa Bay Museum of Art

Jim Degenhardt, Senior Vice President of Flaharty Asset Management and member of the Foundation Board at the Tampa Museum of Art, congratulated the Museum’s new Executive Director, Dr. Michael Tomor, on the “In Living Color: Andy Warhol & Contemporary Printmaking” exhibit during the show’s well-attended opening reception.

Flaharty Asset Management attended ARMA event in support of Stay in Step

(Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center).

ARMA is a responsive, mission-focused company founded and staffed primarily by former active duty Special Operations Forces (SOF) IT/C4 professionals and SOF Operators with a deep desire to continue supporting the SOF community out of uniform.

CWO3 (Chief Warrant Officer) Romulo “Romy” Camargo has close to 20 years in the U.S. Army and is still active. While conducting a combat operation on September 16, 2008 his detachment was viciously ambushed. During the ambush CWO3 Camargo sustained a gunshot wound to the back of the neck. The gunshot wound paralyzed him from the neck down. Romy’s vertebrae had been shattered and needed to be extracted.  After this surgery, his breathing was tied to a respirator and he was paralyzed from the shoulders down.  He was then transferred to James A. Haley VA hospital in Tampa Florida where he spent 18 months. The Camargo’s current challenge is ensuring they have access to the appropriate level of physical therapy suggested by medical experts.  The closest recreational facility is 105 miles away in Orlando.  Although they travel back and forth to Orlando, they see an opportunity and a lack of services in Tampa.   This facility is not only for the Camargo’s benefit but to provide a continuum of care for individuals with spinal cord injuries.

Flaharty Asset Management Attends Reeves Polo Classic

Flaharty Asset Management attended the Reeves Polo Classic this year, an event held to benefit three local non-profit organizations. This year the money will go to the Children's Cancer Center, Wheels of Success, and Starting Right, Now. These organizations have played a major role in helping people in the community through the toughest of times. We are happy to participate in an event that helps support these organizations and their cause. Everyone had a great time at the Polo Classic and we hope to attend next year.

Karen and Larry ready to enjoy the Polo Classic!
